Yum-O! Peanut butter and chocolate-how can anyone go wrong?! The recipe is from http://www.bettycrocker.com/
- 1 1/3 c. packed brown sugar
- 1/4 c. butter, melted
- 1/2 c. creamy peanut butter
- 1 t. vanilla
- 3 eggs
- 1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
- 3/4 t. baking powder
- 1/4 t. baking soda
- 1/2 t. salt
- 36 mini peanut butter cups
- 1/2 c. chocolate chips (I used dark chocolate)
Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees. grease 9 X 13 baking pan.
Beat together sugar, peanut butter, butter, vanilla and eggs until well blended. Mix in flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
Cut 12 peanut butter cups into quarters and gently stir into brownie batter along with the chocolate ships. Spread into baking dish and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a tester comes out fairly clean.
Remove from oven and immediately press remaining peanut butter cups into the top of the brownies in even rows (see picture below). Allow to cool before cutting and serving.
These brownies had a great texture (mouthfeel) and the taste was great too! They’re easy to make and they look nice with the peanut butter cup in the middle of each piece! I hope you all enjoy this recipe!
